Albany Resources is a monthly letter about music and how people listen to it. Not reviews, not release schedules. It's about the mechanics underneath: how a record is built, who built it, and what you notice when you slow down and pay attention.

It's for people who already like music and want to like it more deliberately. If you've ever flipped a sleeve over to find out who played bass, or wondered why a record sounds better on your kitchen radio than your headphones, you're the reader. No expertise required. Curiosity is enough.

Each issue takes one idea and follows it. Sometimes that's sequencing, the way tracks are ordered to carry you across a whole side. Sometimes it's the difference between streaming a thing and owning it. Sometimes it's the credits, the notes, the people the music passes through before it reaches you. You get one considered piece, sent once a month.

It doesn't chase the news cycle, and it won't fill your inbox. There's no rush, no ranking, no attempt to tell you what to buy. Albany Resources would rather send one thing you'll finish than four you'll skim.
